2011 Bengals

The Bengals are going through problems that have nothing to do with what happens on the field.  RB Ricky Williams is back after serving five days of a 20 day jail term brought on by an Austin assault charge, Guard Bobbie Williams will serve a 4-game suspension for violation of the league’s drug enhancement policy and the team has lost three of their four preseason games.

The team is still transitioning over to a West Coast style offense brought in by Offensive Coordinator Jay Gruden and the defense is still melding in new players with a ton of work needed on pass defense. On the ground, the team has recently taken notice of MLB Rey Maualuga who is beginning to rack up tackles in the backfield for losses.

Look for the Bengals to begin to find their stride by mid-season and possibly make a run for the playoffs.  A lot depends on the play of Rookie QB Andy Dalton and how quickly his mechanics can improve because the kid has all the other intangibles.

Be sure to get your tickets to Paul Brown Stadium and cheer on your Cincinnati Bengals!
